The Glimmerglass Festival (what the retro among us still call Glimmerglass Opera, but hey...) and WFMT are producing a five-part podcast series called Breaking Glass, about issues of access and social engagement vis a vis the opera house (any opera house). Episode 1, Opera, Race and Social Justice, can be found on iTunes. Librettist and host Paige Hernandez and director Tazewell Thompson thumbnail the issues in round one.
