Fabulous performance of BEMF's Acis & Galatea production at the Mahaiwe Theater this afternoon, but in front of way too many empty seats. For all you folks who've been dropping by this site from the greater MA/CT/NY tristate via Google searches for Niobe, go see this tonight. And if you saw it at Jordan Hall, go see it again, because now they can do it on the unstruck Niobe set and, though a little cramped, it makes the whole Masque at Cannons conceit work that much more brilliantly.
