Our spies in Bloomington have alerted us to the live videocast of Così fan tutte this weekend, September 23rd and 24th, at 8pm EDT. These are well-funded student productions, so look for good sets (pending budget in these dark times) and somewhat uneven vocal casting -- which means you take the fab with the meh. Fortunately there's usually plenty of fab. Lots of interesting people have come through Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, so this is the place to catch the fledglings on the verge of flight.
Also, these people could teach the Met a thing or two about video-casting opera. And they've very nicely archived previous productions on the site, so check 'em out.
