First, a reminder that tomorrow's Giulio Cesare opener at the Met will be livestreamed here (audio only) starting at 7:30 Eastern. That's Daniels, Dessay, Coote, Dumaux, Bardon, with Bicket conducting, in the transferred Glyndebourne production, it of the Bollywood choreography. Fingers crossed for an interpolated Dil Cheez Kya Hai.
Second, audio of the aforementioned BSO / ASvO Mahler 3rd has been archived for a limited time:
I'm really ambivalent about that GC. I love the production but can't really imagine how it will transfer to a venue so much bigger than Glyndebourne. Also Danni and Sarah were perfect for that production and much as I love ND I fear that it will be more of a swan dive than a swan song.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see about ND, but I am at least glad they've replaced the old production, which was not something I really wanted to look at for that long.
