The Met kicks off its 2015/16 season tomorrow with the new production of Verdi's Otello at 6:30pm ET, audio livestream here. The plan at the Noise Ministry is order a ton of Indian food and hook up the big speakers. Wakey!

    1. Yoncheva was excellent. Antonenko had some rough patches, but it's Otello on opening night in New York in front of a million people, half of whom are thinking Domingo in his heyday...so par for the course. Lučić was Lučić. YNS made some interesting conducting choices, pros and cons there. The orchestra was all Amps to Eleven \m/

  2. Sounds like it will be an interesting evening :) I'm listening to an old Domingo recording of it right now, b/c haven't absorbed the opera as fully as I'd like to
