    1. I know, cool, huh? But they only really work if you have a big triangular face.

    2. Yes, Isabelle Faust/Alexander Melnikov Beethoven sonatas at the Gardner on 11/6 is a high probability :)

    3. update: or perhaps not, as AK didn't get tix for that one. However, that isn't to say an excuse can't still be manufactured.

    6. sorry, i should check my grammar before hitting return, i was too paranoid blogo might cancel my reply :D , i mean the first one, Alcina, is from a different group.. let me check:
Boston Concservatory. Oh, cool, they're singing four consecutive nights starting 17/nov, so i'll have chance to hear them at least twice, then Purcell on sat.

    7. I might make first Alcina. Nov 18 & 19 is the premier of our Suffrage thing over here, and since I helped write bits of it, I should probably attend. Or maybe not! We'll see how the next rehearsal goes :P

    8. i'm now your "neighbor" for the next 2 wks :-)
yes, 1st night 17/nov would be great fun to catch up! in case you can stay for 18/nov, Ton Koopman and some really good orchestra + chorus are singing bach mass with discount at some church here!
on saturday 19/nov, i originally was planning to see Purcell's King Arthur by H&H players.. but some friends might want to join for Alcina so likely we'll see Alcina for the 2nd time..
I already booked my flight out on 20/nov very early and now saw A.Forsythe is singing on that date, grrr :-)

    9. best laid plans...I am out for 17th, they've scheduled a final dress for that whole day and we have some new script rewrites to sort through.

There's a slim chance I could skip our show here on the 19th -- sorta depends on how things go. Otherwise let me know if there are any other likely opportunities in your schedule.
