Getting a jump on the Easter rush, Arte Live Web's got a Matthaeus Passion with Karina Gauvin.
WQXR has archived January's Renee Fleming / Susan Graham Carnegie Hall recital. (Read review at Opera Obsession.)
Also from January, the Boston Symphony's Verdi Requiem, with Cedolins, Gubanova, Neill, Colombara, cond. Daniele Gatti.
so i sat through the 1st half of that matthaeus passion, my main complaint is that it's very disruptive, sort of chunks of arias put together.. mainly coz they always wait for singers to move to the right place etc. for me that piece the music needs some flow b/c it's a whole story, not chunks... :-) (i also didn't have strong feeling for the conducting, though loove the period instruments...) -td
