So this is exactly what makes us go all spikey about health care reform, especially when we're talking to people who have lived their entire lives in stable jobs with benefits and can't wrap their heads around the concept of The Working Poor.
What struck me reading that article was how many people who would benefit from the new law saw it as 'making me buy something I can't afford' - the amount of misinformation out there about health care reform is startling, but I guess not surprising.
The first reaction I heard to the SCOTUS ruling today was "Oh great, so now we have socialized medicine?!" Guess I should dig the Lenin pin out of the jewelry box and tack up that poster of Rosa Luxembourg.
